Take It All Off: Chemical Peels

What Is A Chemical Peel?

A chemical peel works by removing a thin top layer of skin, which loosens that which holds skin together. When this process takes place, the face looks more clear and without bothersome blemishes. Peels work best with minor blemishes that are bothering you; such as scars, pimple scars, and small scratches. Chemical peels leave your face its normal color, unlike other peels that can leave an unsightly red tinge. Some people may feel a slight tingling or stinging sensation after a peel, that will subside after a small amount of time though.

How Often and Aftercare

Every 4 weeks you can get a chemical peel. You need to be sure that after every peel, you are applying sunscreen. Skin is at its most beautiful after a peel, and extra protection from the sun is needed to maintain that beautiful look! SPF 30 or above is recommended for sunscreen strength.
